OUTREACH

The Outreach Team at Dawson Place plays a crucial role in promoting the free resources and services offered by the organization, as well as building connections with the wider community. By reaching out to local agencies, schools, and other organizations, the team can help increase the diversity of clients served and ensure that those who need help are aware of the resources available to them.

In addition to promoting Dawson Place’s services, the Outreach Team also works to empower child abuse victims and their families. This may involve providing education and support to help them navigate the legal and emotional challenges of dealing with abuse. By maintaining relationships with local agencies and other organizations, the team can help ensure that victims receive the care and resources they need to heal and recover.

The Outreach Team plays a critical role in raising awareness about the services offered by Dawson Place and helping to connect victims of abuse with the resources they need to heal and recover.

Programs Offered by the Outreach Team

Hygiene Packs
By visiting food banks throughout Snohomish County, the Outreach Team distributes hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and other necessities in brightly colored bags. Along with providing these essential items, the team also raises awareness about the services and resources available at Dawson Place.
Placement Bags
Children who are removed from their homes may not have enough time to collect their personal belongings, such as clothing, toothbrushes, deodorant, or socks. To address this issue, social workers can offer placement bags that include essential items as well as comforting items such as a journal, a puzzle, or a coloring book. These items can help keep the children’s minds occupied as they work through the confusion and emotional pain of being separated from their homes.
Presentations
The Outreach Team offers community presentations and meetings to educate the public about the effects of abuse and the free resources provided by Dawson Place. Schools, agencies, and other nonprofits can request prevention workshops or other information to learn about ways to prevent abuse.
Social Media and Communications

The Outreach Team posts interactive content to encourage engagement with the community, as well as shares important information to educate the public about the effects of abuse and the resources available at Dawson Place. By using social media, the Outreach Team can easily connect with a wide audience and spread messages about the importance of supporting victims and preventing abuse.

Fundraising and Event Planning

If you’re interested in starting a fundraiser for Dawson Place, the Outreach and Development Team can collaborate with your efforts to ensure its success. Necessary materials such as brochures and flyers can be provided to help spread the word about the fundraiser, and we can attend the event or share it online to help reach a wider audience.
