Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse
Upon referral, the Providence Intervention Center conducts child physical and sexual abuse forensic examinations. Victim Advocates provide 24-hour crisis line support to primary and secondary victims. In addition, the Center offers case management, information and referral, advocacy, and other support services in accordance with the Office of Crime Victims Advocacy standards.

Compass Health – Child Advocacy Program
A Compass Health therapist participates in the Dawson Place multi-disciplinary team, and Compass offers mental health assessments and referrals for ongoing treatment of all children and their families seen at Dawson Place. Compass offers individual, family, and group treatment for children and their non-offending parents, provided at both Dawson Place and at Compass locations throughout Snohomish County.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office – Special Investigations Unit
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and other law enforcement agencies investigate allegations of child neglect, physical abuse, and sexual abuse received from both mandatory reporters and the public-at-large. Officers and Detectives discuss difficult cases with members of the multi-disciplinary team and coordinate investigations with other participating agencies to ensure that system trauma is eliminated or minimized.  Law enforcement refers criminal cases to the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of charges.  While only the Special Investigations Unit is located at Dawson Place, law enforcement agencies throughout the county utilize the facilities of Dawson Place.

Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office
The Special Assault Unit (SAU) of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reviews all cases referred by a law enforcement agency. The SAU consults on difficult cases with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, and coordinates with other members of the team during all phases of prosecution in order to further the goals of the team. The SAU provides victim advocacy services to child victims and their families within the criminal justice system.

Department of Social and Health Services – Children’s Administration
The Department of Social and Health Services Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) takes referrals on cases of suspected child physical or sexual abuse or neglect, and in collaboration with other participating organizations, investigates those allegations and provides support services to enable families to safely care for children in their own homes, when possible. The DCFS carries out all applicable legal mandates relating to the protection of children in Washington.
