Support Groups

All support groups meet in the late afternoon or evening once a week for 10 weeks.  All participants must complete an intake session with a group facilitator prior to starting any support group.  All support groups are free of charge.  Contact the Intervention Specialist at 425-297-5782 for more information and/or to be placed on the list for the next group.
Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse:
This group is for adult victim/survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Topics include effects of sexual abuse, dealing with emotions and behaviors, reducing stress, and healing.
Teen Female Survivors of Sexual Abuse/Assault:
This group offers teens an opportunity to express themselves regarding their abuse.  Educational components include topics such as date rape, coping skills, trust, boundaries, safety, and avenues for healing.
Self Defense for Girls and Women:
Self defense group for teaching survivors empowerment in their bodies, physical self defense, and psychological awareness. Taught by two black belt women instructors and facilitated by an Advocate Specialist.

Support Group for Parents & Caregivers of Sexually Abused Children:
Support, education and advocacy are the main focus of this group. We will cover a variety of subjects around parenting your children, safety, prevention and coping.

Adult Female Survivors of Sexual Assault:
This group is for adult survivors of rape.  Topics include effects of sexual assault, dealing with emotions and behaviors, reducing stress, and healing.

Male Group for Survivors of Sexual Assault:
Group for men who have experienced sexual assault in either their childhood or adult lives.  Focus is on healing, addressing coping, communication, and trust.
