If you are over 18 and consented to release the evidence to law enforcement, it will be released to the agency where the assault occurred. The decision to process the evidence is made by law enforcement or the prosecutor.
If you have not reported to law enforcement, it will be held for 30 days then disposed of. If you would like it held longer, contact the evidence control line at (425) 297-5772. For more information regarding evidence disposition you may contact the evidence control line at (425) 297-5772 or call the answering service at (425) 258-9031 and ask for a nurse examiner.
